Father Christmas hiding under our tree with one of his little helpers
Our Christmas tree which Lyn decorated today ~
Update on Adam ~
He is a very Lucky Young Man to be alive ~ he was driving along a country lane and on a bend he came face to face with a sugarbeet lorry and swerved to miss it ~ but there was nowhere for him to go ~ His car was crushed and he was trapped inside ~ His airbag failed to open ~
he has a cut from the middle of his temple right down and through his eyebrow ~ he has a broken hand plus a big cut on that hand and it is very swollen ~ plus other cuts and bruises ~ He has had a scan as they suspected a small bleed in his brain ~ he is really down ~ He said he can't remember a thing about the actual collision ~
He is coming to stay with us Wednesday through to the weekend as Vicky is going home to see her parents and is being a Bridesmaid to one of her family ~ so it is a trip that cannot be cancelled ~
Rest assured we will take good care of him until she returns ~ and no doubt we will spoil him :o)
Please keep him in your prayers

I am thankful that it was not worse for Adam. He is in my thoughts and prayers.
I'm sure you and Lyn will take good care of Adam. My prayers are with him.
I am glad that Adam is doing as well as he is. It must have been a tramatic experience for him. Hopefully he will continue to recover and have no lasting effects. I enjoyed seeing the Christmas tree at your home. mark
Glad to hear that Adam is doing well. I'm sure he'll be very comfortable, letting you & Lyn take care of him. Sometimes I think it's better when one can't remember traumatic events like that. The main thing is for him to rest and get better. Hope you're doing ok in the winter weather. We're supposed to be down in the teens tonight. Linda in Washington
Iam so pleased Adam is home for Christmas, and will be well looked after ,with you all ,Your tree looks lovely is that why the little helper looks so pleased with himself lol ..love Jan xx

I sure will keep Adam in my prayers. I know you will take very good care of him. What a terrible accident.
Your tree and Santa is so cute! xx
I hope Adam knows that not remembering is completely normal...something similar happened to me and I was told that.
Your "Father Christmas" is adorable...I just learned (from Kate Winslet no less) that you don't say "Santa" as we do.
Take care!
Nancy
PS Kate is not my buddy...I saw her on TV! lol
He is lucky to have survived a crash like that. We will be keeping him in our thoughts.
Keeping Adam in our prayers for sure.
CONTINUED PRAYERS..MERRY XMAS FROM ACROSS THE POND!
Just caught up with your blog, Ally. Dramatic news; so glad the patient is improving. No sugar beet lorries round here - only stone from the quarries!
Such a pretty tree and sending special thoughts for you and yours....
Such a lucky young man to have you as a friend......I know you'll take very good care of him...he's in my prayers......lovely tree!
I have read about you leaving for the funeral of your Great Neice Emily, and send my condolences to your family. Having so much cancer in her family is heart breaking. I could not view any photos in your other journal and came to this one I have in my Favorites. I viewed the car wreck and can see how lucky Adam is to be alive. My nephew Adam, by my sister, was hit head on several years ago but I believe he is getting along OK. Fortunately his air bag deployed, but it was a high speed impact and he lost feeling to his lower body for a period of time. Some spinal damage occured. I am getting physical therapy for my hip and it is helping. mark
