Lest I forget

Must make a couple of notes of what has happened these last two weeks ~ Firstly Cressie my Granddaughter was rushed to hospital with sever pains in her chest and having difficulty breathing ~ After lots of tests they diagnosed Pleurisy and I am glad to say she is much better now

Secondly Nin had an appointment at the Vets as he was having some trouble with his teeth ~ the Vet checked him out and said an operation was necessary as some of his teeth needed to be removed ~ the upshot was and is she had to remove 14 teeth and said she had never seen anything like it in a dog it was something that only cats ever suffered from ~ anyway we took him back to see the vet a week later and she was very pleased with his progress ~ told us he was healing very well ~ (that set us back £420.00) pity our animals didn't have a NHS ~ I am sure it must be very hard for some to be able to foot the bills the Vets present us with ~

Barney is being a nurse to Nin and is everywhere Nin is ~ actually it is lovely to watch as Barney snuggles as close to Nin as he can get ~ and is determined to be his shadow ~ they are such good friends ~ when Nin was in the Vets poor Barney didn't know what to do with himself he paced from room to room looking for his old friend ~

I am so thankful that your granddaughter is doing better. That must have been a scare for you all. And glad that Barney is doing all right too. My goodness the poor dog will have to be on soft food without all those teeth. My dogs were like yours and very close. When one died the ones left did mourn for them. It is way to expensive for me to ever have another. The retirement budget doesn't allow for many extras at all.
Thanks for the update. It's good that you keep in touch.

What a scare. Pleurisy can be complicated. So glad to hear your granddaughter is doing much better. Sorry to hear Nin lost those teeth. Is he on a special diet now? How sweet of Barney to look after him. Unfortunately maintaining their health can be quite costly, but we love them, so we have no choice.

It must have been a nightmare with Cressie's chest pains. It would scare me to death.

Wow, what a vet bill, just about could have taken him to the people dentist! Glad all is well though.

It is wonderful how the dogs sympathize with each other!

It was good to see the Ally alert on my computer!

Hi Ally
Thank you for all your lovely comments on my blog. What an awful time for you all with baby Cress, so pleased that they managed to diagnose and get her better. And poor old Barney, how will he manage to eat now ? And the Labradoodle in your earlier post is sooooo gorgeous, i'd love to have one. As for the Vets bill....eek! good luck with the lottery this week....hehee.

Good for your granddaughter and for the pups as well. It's nice to see some crises fall by the wayside.

The rain always makes one appreciate the sunshine, love.

I'm so glad your granddaughter is better. That must have been so scary. Your dogs are so cute, I'm glad Nin is OK too. I want to sign up to follow your blog but my picture won't come up. And I want it to be there, so I'll work on it later.--Inger

Sorry I missed telling you Happy Birthday, Ally. I hope it was a good one. Better late than never right? :) I have had pleurisy many times and can vouch for the fact that it is extremely painful. If I remember my medical terminology correctly, the pleura are the lining around the lungs. When they become inflamed, it causes that awful pain. So glad your granddaughter is better and it wasn't anything more serious. Glad Barney is better. Poor little guy. Take care!
