Nin and Barneys visit to the "Fat" Nurse at the vets

Nin and Barney at the vets 003

Nin waiting patiently for Barney to come back to the car

Barney is not quite so patient he do'es not like to be too far away from Nin

Nin and Barney at the vets 002

We took the rest of the pets along with us :o)

It was weigh in day at the Vets ~ both of the boys are overweight ~ Barney has to lose 7lbs and Nin 5lbs

they did not have a note of Barneys weight from the last visit ~ but we know he has lost quite a lot as his tum is not as big as it was ~

These visits to the "Fat" Nurse are free ~ they like to keep and eye on our pets ~ all we have to do is buy the Diet food and at £54 I am glad they are free ~ Mind you it is a huge big bag so should last quite a while ~

Here is William we Baby sat him while Mum and Dad were at work ~ he is a pleasure to have ~ and makes himself at home ~ had to put the guard up to protect him from the wood burner ~ as he kept wanting to undo the door ~ he goes to bed early and wakes up late ~ what more could any Mother ask for

At one time I put my 2 dogs on diet food too. They were in the house too much and not enough exercise I fear. It's so great that you get to have William over. He looks like he would keep you busy though. I have missed that part of being a Grand'ma' with all mine so far away. Hope the fattys thin down soon and that they like the diet food. 'On Ya'-ma

Glad they got a clean bill of health. Some walks and they will be back to weight.

Glad to hear they passed their check ups. I know I need to get Gabi in for a check up too. There's nothing wrong but it's just a good thing to do. Linda in Washington

The Pups and your William are so sweet! We have to take our dog to the "fat" nurse as well. We try hard to keep her weight down, but it is a hard slog.

I fear I have a lot in common with Nin and Barney, only I need to lose a tad more than 7 lbs! Your little one must have been a gem to babysit! Wish my son had slept like that. Eileen x

Hi Ally, At first I though the Fat nurse was exactly that, a very obese nurse...lol! We have that facility at Jake`s vet but thankfully I don`t need to go just yet. The vet does say he is overweight but he really isn`t at all. He never has treats, only eats small meals and has tons of daily exercise. As his vaccinations are due in May it`ll be the "he really should lose a bit of weight" conversation again...oh dear! What Kerry would give for Roman to have Williams sleeping patterns...he is a lovely looking little boy. :o)

Love and Hugs

Oh my goodness, bless. Your dogs look just fine to me, but I know it is important that they stay slim for their health's sake. They are the sweetest dogs!

that's just their
'winter' weight
I bet when the
weather gets warmer
they lose it

Love that "rest of the pets" picture, very comfy-looking lol. Did you know your word verification today is "dracula"? What a world.

Our Sally is lucky in that she just doesn't put weight on. Wish I was like that. Mind you, she seems to have developed hollow legs over the past year and we can't seem to fill her up. The vet says she's fine as long as we know she has a healthy appetite and don't gve her any more just because she begs! Apparently we should expect a few deviations at her age (15).

She can tell the time too, you know. She knows exactly when it's 5 o'clock her dinnertime - and won't give you a minute's rest 'til she's fed!

Tip has gained a few pounds over this winter also. Our doggies just need to get outside a little more I would say. I hope they shed it in no time. :) William looks like a sweetie. Sounds like he was looking for a bit of mischief to get into, better he didnt for sure. I hope your having a wonderful Friday :) Love, Kelly

Hi Ally and well done Barney for the weight loss! It's so easy for pets to put on weight, they live quite a sedentary life! £54 is a little over the top isn't it so I hope it works! Jeannette xx
