Another addition to our family

We have aquired a Corn Snake he did belong to Sam our Grandson ~ but he no longer wanted him as he is out and about a lot and no time for all the work required to take care of him~

He is lovely, I didn't think I could take to a snake but he is so friendly and he only needs to be fed once a week ~ he has a lovely home with Branches to slither along a dome thing !!!! to go into when he wants to ~ and all in all he looks quite comfortable and Happy ~ (how do you know if a snake is happy ~ I have no idea but I just like to think he is)

He has such a cute little face and his colours are lovely ~ Nin and Barney just ignore him ~ I am very happy to say :o)
We have been having some awful weather here we stopped at a store coming home, when we went in it was bright and sunny coming out 10 minutes later is was pouring down with rain ~ we stood under the cover of the Store but the rain was relentless so Lyn ran to the car but unfortunately slipped on the wet ground and hit her face she cannot remember how she cut her nose and I would think she may end up with a blackeye ~ she thinks she slipped when she opened the door and hit herself in the face ~ but she is feeling OK now you can't keep her down for long and on the way home she was laughing at doing such a stupid thing ~ but I do know how much it hurt her :O(
Hope you are all OK and having a wonderful weekend
♥ u Ally x
I forgot to mention that the snake is named Lenny

Hi Ally, x

I hope Lyn is okay after her fall. Usually when we fall over it's our pride that's hurt most. Glad she's able to laugh about it now.

How to tell if a snake is happy - he doesn't bite you.
Personally, I'm with Nin and Barney - if they ignore it maybe it will go away. ;O)

As Barry said its normally your pride that gets hurt in a fall.

I am afraid to say snakes do nothing for me.

Oh Ally, Lyn's bump in the rain reminds me of mine a couple weeks ago, I am about over it.

A SNAKE???? You got a SNAKE? Wow that is great. I love it when a lady can handle being around a snake. How to know if a snake is happy? I guess if he isn't biting you!!! LOL

Watch Nin and Barn, they might be looking for extra food!!! LOL

Take care, that was a great entry. WE have moved and have good signals for the internet thank good ness.

I was going to ask the snake's name but now I don't have to. Are you sure its a boy? Oh never mind it is a pretty snake. So sorry Lyn took that fall and glad she is okay.

You are BRAVE for taking in a snake, but I have to say, it IS a very pretty one.... I guess I'd like a FRIENDLY snake.

Glad Lyn was able to laugh about the fall.... hope she's not sore tomorrow.

Lyn is lucky she didn't break anything. The weather has been deplorable hasn't it! Very unreliable! I cannot imagine loving a snake as a pet. They give me the willies! I do know that some people love them though. I guess it is all a matter of taste! xxoo

I love snakes and a few when I was younger. My hubby frowns on me keeping them now though. Sigh.

You may have read my posts about Rachael who has several snakes she rescued from a rescue (believe it or not) where we both worked. I became very fond of two: a ball python and a huge albino Burmese python, named Sahara. It's just what they have to eat I don't like.I have a hard time even feeding them mice -- yes, I feel sorry for the mice, not to speak of rabbits.

Lenny has a LOOK about him that's sweet. His coloring is beautiful. I'm not much of a snake person myself, but you seem to be enamored... so enjoy! Hope Lynn heals soon from her fall.

You are very kind to take in his pet snake Ally :) My daughter wants a snake, but I just don't think I can do it. I am not afraid of them mind you, just not interested in adding that particular animal to our menagerie of pets around here.
